Comment by Tom Curran on November 1, 2011 at 6:05pm Yeah, I have a pretty cool winter project. I am planning to modify my 2001 Scout to have more of the feel of a 1942 Scout - full fenders etc. I am going with a slightly wider tire as I got away with not changing them this last season (shame on me). I thing I may keep the existing fork as it is a matter of money (I am sure you all would rather I keep the funds here in Ignition Nation then in my bike!) but if I can swing it, I would love to go with one of those old fashioned Springer front ends from the late thirties/forties that were so popular on Indians back then.
Normally I ride even in the winter, but I think this will be a fun project to do this year to keep me out of trouble.
Here is a picture of my bike now so I can post it when I am done.
