What kind of car or bike do you own?
1978 mustang ii ghia
I've been around cars my entire life. There's no time that I don't remember spending the weekends at carshows with my dad. When I was really little we would drive up to the cruise nights in his 1968 RSSS Camaro. He loves to tell the story about the night when he pulled away from the traffic light and i could hear the car shift into third, and i was sitting in the back seat imitating the sound of the car. that car became know as our "Vroom Vroom Car" . Since my dad sold that car years ago he always said that if that was what I wanted he would buy me that car again for my college graduation. For now we're still looking for a project car 68 camaro that the two of us can work on together.
Other than looking for my car I also spend many weekends at carshows with my dad . I help run the carshows he judges with car dealerships and we sell Gliptone detailing products. In the past few years that we have been Gliptone reresentatives I have learned a ton.

Son of the Monster Mash 2010

Hey Everybody,

Just got home from the Son of the Monster Mash Show, and all I can say is Wow! What a day. it was bigger this year than I have ever seen it. and on the judging side of it I know I was working my butt off all day. not sure on exact numbers yet but we judged i would say around 400 cars. it was insane. the weather held out for an absolutely beautiful day, and it was a blast.

was anybody there? we would love to get some feed back from all of you.

trying to finish my car some time this year >.<

sometimes i have to wonder if my car is ever going to get done. after i finally got it on the road, it started overheating. i had the water pump replaced and put a new thermostat in, but neither one seemed to solve the problem. all of my friends seem to think that it is either the radiation or a head gasket. and i was okay with that. this winter i was planning on taking the whole car appart, detailing under the hood, having it painted and pinstriped anyway and while it was apart i could fix… Continue

My new car

So all my life i've wanted to get a 1968 camaro just like the one my dad had when i was a little kid. it was a yellow RSSS that my dad used to take me to the cruise nights and car shows in while my mom was at work. there are a few stories that my dad likes to tell about me and that car, and i've always told everyone that when i was old enough i was going to find another camaro like that for myself. well i may not have found my camaro but i did find something cool recently. my…

Relay for Life 2009

This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words "You have cancer", and there's a good chance that some of them will be people we know and love. That's why I have chosen to fight back by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®. I want to invite you to join me in the fight against cancer by making a donation in support of my efforts. As you may already know this will be my third year participating in Relay for Life , I will be walking with some of my dorm mates… Continue

Hi, Amy....awesome story! I grew up that same way...in the garage...not quite the "princess" that mom had wanted, but having lost my dad a few years back, she sure is happy to not have to go to the mechanic for every little problem! It's a part of me that is so "HIM". Many happy memories, too, with the car shows and garage projects that were always going on with my dad and brother. I never did mind getting dirty! Hope you find the car you're looking for soon! And once you do, cherish EVERY moment!

Hi Amy. It sounds like you have the same passion for cars as I do! Good luck finding your dream project 68 Camaro. If I hear of anything reasonable, I will let you know.
